Week 1 Observations

10 Things I Noticed last Sunday

10) Vilma is well worth the investment

9)  Jeremy Shocky ran out on the field to congradulate Charles Grant on a sack

8)  Reggie Bush did not do anything we didnt already know he could do

7)  Pierre Thomas will see a lot of time on the field this year, and for the next several years

6)  Deuce, while dressed, did not play 1 down

5)  Joey Galloway's long catch was 13 yards, as opposed to his usual 89yd per catch average against the Saints

4)  The new look D only gave up 13 points to the defending NFC South Champions, led by a Pro Bowl QB

3)  This is already shaping up to be a tight division race

2)  Jeremy Shockey blended in with the rest of the team

1)  After 2 years of the same offense, Bush has not picked up his blocking assignments

Let me start out by saying this, I love Reggie Bush, I honestly do.  But in Sundays game, his missed blitz pick up left our best player (Drew Brees) hanging out to dry, which led to a pick 6 by the Bucs, and we were lucky it was only that.  Had Bush made that block, it may not have showed up on ESPN, but the fact that he missed it put the Bucs D on ESPN.   Besides that, I am expecting big things from Bush this year and with Colson out for the next few weeks we will definitly need it.
