Ball State Balls On Hoosiers posted on 09/22/2008

With all the Mountain West Conference upsets going on people seem to be overlooking Ball State, a team that's favored to win the Mid American Conference title.  Last Saturday Ball State put 41 points on the board to defeat Big Ten opponent, Indiana Hoosiers 41-20 .  Ball State has a very dangerous offense that features players like Dante Love, MiQuale Lewis, Darius Hill, Robert Brewster and Nate Davis.

Dante Love is a 5-10 180 lb wide receiver from Cincinnati, Ohio who is the team's most electric player.  Love has 28 receptions through the first four games however he left the IU game early and his condition is uncertain at the time.  He is also listed at second in the nation in total Receiving yards (460).  Love is also a dangerous threat on kickoff returns.

Pryor Productive as Starter For The Buckeyes posted on 09/22/2008
As the Buckeyes took the field they seemed as if they had fire in their
eyes.  They were coming off an embarrassing defeat last week, losing to
the USC Trojans by over three touchdowns.  The starting quarterback had
been senior, Todd Boeckman, who was an all Big Ten selection last year
however he has yet to lead the Buckeyes to a victory over an opponent
that's rank in the top 10.  Alot of question had risen as to weather or
not Boeckman would get the start.

As the game approached we realized that freshman sensation Terrelle
Pryor was going to start his first game as a Buckeye.  Boeckman played
one down on Ohio State's first drive in which he threw a poor ball
behind his receiver.  That was the last time Boeckman saw the field that

QB woes: Boeckman still unproven posted on 09/18/2008
Ohio State quarterback Todd Boeckman has been unable to produce for the Buckeyes when they need him most. Last Saturday, Boeckman went 14-21 for 84 yards as the Trojans trounced the Bucks 35-3. This game brought OSU fans flashbacks of the two previous BCS Bowl games in which Ohio State was dominated by much quicker SEC teams (LSU and Florida). However whenever Freshman quarterback Terelle Pryor came in the Buckeye offense seemed to move the chains and looked like they belonged in the game. This brought up the question....When is Pryor going to take over and be the starting quarterback for the Bucks?

This quarterback situation reminds me of the 2005 quarterback situation where Justin Zwick had been starting over Troy Smith. Troy Smith had lead his team to victories however Tressel insisted on keeping Zwick as the starter untill OSU's loss to Texas, which was too late. However Pryor is not six feet tall Troy Smith. He is 6'5 with a fair arm and makes smart decisions for a freshman. Did I mention he can run?
