     What's up Saints fans? Let me tell you a little about me, Big Daddy. Watching every Saints game for more than 35 past years, Big Daddy knows Saints Football! Since people started picking my brain, I've imagined having a radio show, answering tough fan questions they demand to know. Writing a blog allows me to fulfill this dream. I am commonly asked, what the keys to winning football in the NFL? Today, Big Daddy reveals the answers:

  • Control the line of scrimmage,
  • Running the ball and stopping the run,
  • Getting pressure on the their quarterback,
  • Forcing turnovers,
  • Limiting mistakes, and
  • If the game plan is not working, make some adjustments.


     Last season the national media and Saints fans had high expectations, excepting the franchise’s first ever Super bowl birth. However, the team suffered through another very disappointing 7-9 season. Multiple weaknesses doomed a second straight playoff appearance:

     What’s up Saints fans? This week Big Daddy recaps the Denver game, examines 2008 team weaknesses and offers solutions Big Daddy looks at the Superdome’s new beer vending policy, and Big Daddy releases his world famous, pertinent pregame information.

     Sunday’s game, provided Fox’s national TV audience a thrilling match-up between two-high powered offenses, which lived up to the hype! The whole country watched non-stop action in a great, down-to-the-wire, edge-of-your-seat game. The capitalists at Fox took full economic advantage, forcing the masses to endure unbelievably long commercial interruptions.

     Denver seized control early, building a 21-3 first quarter advantage. The Saints withstood the early ambush and hung tough throughout. Pierre Thomas’ fourth quarter touchdown pulled the Saints close, but the tying 2 point conversion failed. Scott Shanle’s late turnover gave the Saints a chance to pull out a mile-high victory; however, Gramatica’s game winning 43 yard field goal attempt sailed wide right. Saints fans suffered another painful loss in a winnable game.

     What's up Saint's fans? How do you feel? Big Daddy feels Awesome! If you bleed Black 'n' Gold like Big Daddy, you do too. This week on Saint's beat ... Big Daddy recaps the 49ers game, grades the Saints' performance after 4 weeks, makes suggestions to bolster future team success, examines more bulls**t Superdome/NFL code of conduct guidelines affecting section 645 fans, discusses cool things to do during the week between games, plus Big Daddy's world-famous pregame pertinent information.

     Before we recap the San Francisco game, Coach Payton must have gotten Big Daddy's memo about making some adjustments. Seeing the Saints blitz the quarterback and Deuce McAllister getting 20 carries made Big Daddy feel so good! The fans were going apes**t! Absolutely the most 645 electricity since '06 Philadelphia playoff game. No doubt, Deuce's field presence lifts the emotion of the team and the crowd.
